Golden Vet Physio
Olivia Pauling
BSc (Hons) Veterinary Physiotherapist & L3 Cert Small Animal Hydrotherapist
Golden Vet Physio is owned by Olivia Pauling. Olivia Graduated from Harper Adams University in 2022 with a 2:1 degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy. After a placement year at university, working in an equine rehabilitation yard and canine hydrotherapy centre, she developed a love and interest in hydrotherapy. After graduating, she completed her Level 3 Certificate in Small Animal Hydrotherapy, and an award in Elephant Studies.
Since graduating, she has joined the team at Classic Physiotherapy, working in Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas, to provide mobile services for both canine and equine patients, treating a diverse range of cases including; cruciate ruptures, elbow/hip dysplasia, arthritis, luxating patella, and many neurological conditions. Additionally, she is the in-house Vet Physio for Medivet Woodstock, assisting in the rehabilitation and follow-up support of their patients post-op or elderly patients requiring maintenance physiotherapy to improve comfort and mobility. She provides owners with advice on how to assist their companion through their recovery and optimise their health and wellbeing, reinforcing the impact focused work at home between sessions can have on their animals rehabilitation.
Olivia is a member to the Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP), ensuring the highest quality of treatment and promoting effective and safe practice in all elements of Veterinary Physiotherapy. As a requirement of this, Olivia completes CPD to continue the development of her knowledge and skills to ensure she is up to date with any new techniques and research.
Alongside work, Olivia spends her time with her golden retriever, working cocker spaniel and retired show pony, and aims to return to the showing and dressage world as an adult.

The RAMP Register — Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners — is a UK-based professional register that lists qualified, insured, and regulated practitioners who work with animals in musculoskeletal therapy, including veterinary physiotherapists, osteopaths, and chiropractors.
What Is RAMP? - RAMP is an independent regulatory body that promotes high standards of care and safety in animal musculoskeletal therapy. It is not a training organisation, but a register of professionals who have already met strict educational and ethical standards.
Practitioners on RAMP must:
-
Hold relevant degree-level qualifications (minimum level 6 or 7)
-
Be appropriately insured
-
Work only with veterinary consent, in line with the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966
-
Follow a strict code of conduct and continuing professional development (CPD) requirements
-
Adhere to evidence-based, ethical treatment practices
Why It's Important for Owners:
-
Protects Your Animal’s Safety - RAMP registration ensures the person treating your pet is properly qualified and ethically practicing under veterinary guidance.
-
Reduces Risk of Harm - Treatment administered by an unqualified or unregulated practitioner can lead to injury, hinder recovery, or exacerbate existing conditions.
-
Assures Quality and Accountability - If something goes wrong, RAMP members are bound by a formal complaints process and professional standards.
Why It's Important for Vets:
-
Legal Compliance - RAMP practitioners comply with the Veterinary Surgeons Act, meaning vets can safely refer patients to them without legal risk.
-
Clinical Confidence
Vets can be sure RAMP members will:-
Work within scope
-
Communicate effectively
-
Use evidence-based techniques
-
Respect the vet–client–therapist relationship
-
-
Professional Collaboration - RAMP promotes integrated, team-based care, so your treatment plans are supported — not undermined — by the physio.
Choosing a RAMP-registered veterinary physiotherapist is a smart, safe, and professional choice for both owners and vets. It ensures the practitioner is:
-
Qualified
-
Legally compliant
-
Ethical and accountable
-
Veterinary-referred and collaborative
